Dear Leaders in the field of Biomagnetism,
For over 40 years we have existed as THE MOST CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY with a good deal of scientific and clinical relevance. Nevertheless, Our field (“society”) cannot continue to prosper based on commercial interest alone. Our Biannual “Biomag” meeting is widely regarded as THE place to discuss new ideas, innovations and implementations. But its very existence is under THREAT. Financial support, typically the domain of corporate sponsors is dwindling. At the same time (ironically), the application of MEG and biomagnetism in general is becoming recognized by the existence of other societies (e.g. ACMEGS, ISACM), which we welcome. However, now is the time to STEP UP.
As pioneers, leaders and advocates of the field, we are suggesting, for the first time, that individual donors to the annual meeting be recognized. So for Biomag 2018, in addition to our traditional corporate sponsorship, we are asking YOU to reflect on the field and how it has been good to you, and to consider a TAX-DEDUCTIBLE donation (thanks to ISACM to allow us to use their 501©3 status). 
As is typical in medical and scientific societies, your contributions will be recognized at the time of the meeting with ribbons reflecting Platinum ($10,000 and above), Benefactor ($5000) , Patron ($1000), Contributor ($500) and Bronze ($100) levels of donation.
Furthermore, in conjunction with ESI and our website associates, we will offer a page on our website (as soon as 2016) which we call our “E-Wall of Inspiration”, where your donation can be associated with a brief nod to someone who inspires you (professionally, family or otherwise). Donations on the E-Wall will be listed in order of amount and (within similar amounts) in order of donation – please STAKE YOUR CLAIM at the TOP of our wall – YOUR MENTOR, YOUR FAMILY – they would like to se this recognition.
